Cranberry Margarita

Who doesn't love a good margarita? We just so happen to have a great recipe for a Cranberry Margarita we think you'll love.

Ingredients

Cranberry Simple Syrup

  • 1 Cup 100% Cranberry Juice (Not cocktail, the real tart 100% cranberry juice)
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Frozen Cranberries

Chili/Sugar Rim Mix

  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Ground Chili Powder

Drunken Cranberry Skewers

  • 1 Cup Reserved Cranberries from the simple syrup step
  • 1/2 Cup Tequila

Cranberry Margarita (Makes 2)

  • 4 oz Tequila
  • 2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 2 oz Cranberry Simple Syrup

Cranberry Simple Syrup

  1. In a medium sized sauce pan combine cranberry simple syrup ingredients over medium heat. Do not let the mixture boil.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Strain cranberries from syrup and store seperately.

Chili/Sugar Rim

  1. Mix sugar and chili powder until evenly combined. Sprinkle mixture onto a plate until ready to assemble your margarita.

Drunken Cranberry Skewers

  1. Take the removed cranberries from simple syrup step and soak in 1/2 cup of tequila and let sit for at least 15 minutes. Coat soaked cranberries in sugar and then slide them onto a toothpicks or small skewers and set aside until ready to garnish margarita.

Cranberry Margarita

  1. Rim 2 margarita glasses with lime juice and dip into chili sugar mixture to create a rim.
  2. Fill cocktail shaker with ice and add tequila, lemon juice, lime juice, and cranberry simple syrup. Shake until well combined.
  3. Pour mixture evenly into the two margarita glasses and garnish with drunken cranberry skewers.
