Directions
Cranberry Orange Simple Syrup:
In a small-medium sized saucepan combine frozen cranberries, orange juice, cranberry juice, lemon juice, and orange zest and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 20 minutes or until liquid has reduced to about half. Stir in vanilla. Remove from heat and let cool. (Can store in a sealed jar for up to 3 weeks in the fridge.)
Cranberry Orange Mimosa
In a champagne flute or wine glass add cranberry orange simple syrup and lemon juice. Then layer orange juice and champagne. Garnish with frozen cranberries and orange slices.
Notes
Serve chilled with fresh orange slices and frozen cranberries.
Sugared rim: If you would like to have a sugar rim, simply roll the lip of the glass in cranberry simple syrup and then in sugar. The sugar will turn a pretty pink like the picture.
