Green Cranberry Smoothie

Mhmm Green Goodness! As we were putting together a "Spring into Smoothies" blog post we realized we didn't have any "green smoothies"! We know there are a lot of green smoothie fans out there so we wanted to make sure we had you covered! Creating the smoothie was relatively easy... what's green and tasty and pairs good with frozen cranberries? Instantly we thought of spinach and avocado! To really vamp up the green color and some added health benefits we tossed in a teaspoon of spirulina powder then added ground ginger, honey, and half a banana to help naturally sweeten the smoothie a bit.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup Cape Cod Select Frozen Cranberries
  • 1/2 Banana (Fresh or Frozen)
  • 1/2 Avocado
  • Handful of Spinach
  • 1 Tsp. Spirulina Powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Honey
  • 1 Tsp. Ground Ginger
  • Almond Milk (or preferred liquid)
  • 1 Serving Vanilla Protein (optional)

Notes

  • Personally we like to add protein to our smoothies but that is optional! If you’re adding protein we recommend vanilla protein to go along with these other flavors.
  • We love blending our smoothies with almond milk but you can change the liquid to water, oat milk, or cows milk!
  • Want to make your green smoothie more of a meal? Keep the mixture thick and pour it into a bowl and top with fresh fruit, granola, and drizzle peanutbutter on top! We’re big fans of smoothie bowls too!
